2018 Dry Creek Valley Merlot

Merlot has been a blending staple at Blanchard Family Wines for years, but it has been some time since we made a prominent Merlot wine. This wine is bold and complex, aged in French oak for 20 months. We find aromas of licorice and spice on the nose, with flavors of black cherries, juicy raspberries, and a tangy, rich finish. This is one of our favorite releases of the year! We recommend opening this wine with a special dinner or aging for up to 10 years.
